PNBRI convened a closed-door roundtable titled “Mapping of Think Tanks in Malaysia: A Networking and Knowledge Sharing Dialogue” at Merdeka 118.
The dialogue brought together 10 of Malaysia’s leading policy research institutes, namely IDEAS, ISIS, ASLI, KRI, ICMR, Jeffrey Cheah Institute, Penang Institute, REFSA, SERC, and ISEAS, to engage in meaningful exchanges on their upcoming research agendas and strategic focus areas.
The roundtable was designed to identify synergies and reduce duplication of efforts. It also aimed to map the Malaysian think tank landscape based on its thematic strengths and gaps, as well as to foster long-term collaboration and knowledge sharing across institutions.
The session underscored the importance of coordination among think tanks in advancing national priorities and maximising limited resources. It also reaffirmed PNBRI’s commitment to strengthening Malaysia’s policy ecosystem by facilitating strategic partnerships and promoting evidence-based research that supports the nation’s transformation journey.
